NAME
ddstest - Measure the DDS-performance of a device

SYNOPSIS
     ddstest Drive_...

DESCRIPTION
ddstest measures the speed of a CD-ROMs while reading digital
audio data. For this a CD has to be loaded that contains audio
data in the Red Book format in the first track.

OPTIONS
     --help
          Displays a help text.

     --version
          Displays the program version.

ENVIRONMENT
LANG Sets the language to be used, if neither LC_ALL nor
               LC_MESSAGES exists.

LC_ALL If this environment variable is set to `german', then
German-language messages will be used. For `C' and
`POSIX' English-language messages will be selected. For
other values English will be used as standard. If this
variable does not exist then LC_MESSAGES will be
               checked instead.

     LC_MESSAGES
See LC_ALL. If this variable also does not exist then
               LANG will be used instead.

     POSIXLY_CORRECT
Normally options can appear in any order in the argument
list. If this variable is set, then they will be
recognised only at the start of the argument list
(exactly as required by POSIX 1003.2). Those who wish to
use numbering in shell scripts should always separate
options and arguments with `--' from each other.

STDERR If this environment variable exists, then stderr
(channel 2) will be used unchanged. Otherwise it will be
redirected to stdout, as long as this points to a
               character-oriented device.
